Stroke awareness and education is our cause. Ranse passed away after a stroke stopped his run in the 2010 AVP Young Guns Tournament semifinals. Ranse was in peak health at the time and there were no signs of the aneurysm that would cause his passing. It is our goal to assist the Broward Health North stroke team through the Ranse Jones Stroke Awareness Fund. To date over $240,000 has been raised for the cause and the hospital has been able to make some awesome additions and renovations with the funds, allowing for single patient rooms with education boards that allow for treating physicians to educate patients and their familiies in the comfort of their room. The hospital has also established a Ranse Jones Resource Center for educating patients and their families at the hospital. Our partnership with Broward Health has been essential to our success. Below are some videos about Ranse’s story and also about stroke awareness and our partnership with Broward Health North.
